International Yoga Day: Mausam Sharma Inspires Bihar Women to Prioritise Health and Well-Being

As the world celebrates the 12th International Day of Yoga with the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," renowned Bihar-based yoga instructor and Zumba expert Mausam Sharma is continuing her mission to promote health, fitness, and self-care among women.

For more than a decade, Mausam Sharma has been actively conducting yoga and wellness sessions, helping thousands of women improve their physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. Through her classes, she has encouraged women to adopt a healthier lifestyle and make fitness an integral part of their daily routine.

Speaking on the importance of Yoga Day, Mausam Sharma said, "Health is wealth. Our body is a precious gift from God, and it is our responsibility to take care of it. Yoga, exercise, dance, and an active lifestyle can help us stay healthy, energetic, and positive."

She emphasized that one of her biggest goals has been to create awareness among women, who often prioritize their families while neglecting their own health.

"Women dedicate most of their time to taking care of their homes and loved ones, but they often forget about themselves. I always tell them that if they take care of their own health, they will be happier, stronger, and better able to support their families," she said.

According to Mausam Sharma, yoga is not just a physical exercise but a way of life that improves mental strength, reduces stress, enhances sleep quality, and promotes overall well-being. She believes that even a few minutes of daily yoga can bring significant positive changes to a person's life.

Over the years, her efforts have inspired thousands of women across Bihar to embrace fitness, build confidence, and adopt healthier habits. Through yoga and wellness awareness campaigns, she continues to encourage people to invest in their health and make preventive healthcare a priority.

As International Yoga Day is celebrated across India and around the world, Mausam Sharma's message remains simple yet powerful: "Yoga should not be limited to one day. It should become a daily habit for a healthier, happier, and more balanced life."
