Patna December 6: Samastipur today witnessed the much-awaited trailer launch of the Bhojpuri film “Anmol Ghadi” at the Karpoori Auditorium. The atmosphere in the city was vibrant as film enthusiasts, youth, and respected personalities gathered to be part of this cultural moment. Earlier yesterday, the film’s producer and social worker Chetna Jham had personally visited distinguished citizens, social activists, public representatives, and community elders to invite them to the event. For Jham, Anmol Ghadi is not just a cinematic project—it is a purposeful journey.

“Anmol Ghadi is a reflection of the young mind—its hopes, its confusions, and the decisive turns that shape a life,” She emphasized that the film captures the emotional landscape of students who complete their intermediate studies—some finding success, while others drift due to pressure, misinformation, or lack of direction. “This is not just a film, it is a message… a gentle push toward the right direction,”
she added, highlighting its motivational essence.

A remarkable aspect of Anmol Ghadi is its strong cultural foundation. Most of the film’s actors and technical crew come from Samastipur and various regions of Bihar. This deliberate choice aims to bring local talent into the mainstream film industry and showcase Bihar’s creative potential. Director Chandrakant Pandey, actor Phool Singh, and other team members were present at the event, underscoring how the film brings together meaningful storytelling and engaging entertainment.

Jham expressed pride in presenting a film that enriches the Bhojpuri language, heritage, and Bihar’s cultural identity. Jham, who previously contested the Samastipur Assembly elections as an Independent candidate, remains actively involved in public life. Although she pursued a Jan Suraaj ticket—which was ultimately denied by Prashant Kishor—she has never distanced herself from grassroots issues or community initiatives. Her move from politics to film production reflects her belief that cinema can inspire and influence society in ways that go beyond political speeches or manifestos.

A Landmark Day for Samastipur

The trailer launched today, with an enthusiastic audience filling the auditorium. For Samastipur, this event marked not only the unveiling of an important Bhojpuri film, but also a celebration of local creativity, youth aspirations, and cultural pride.
