National Recognition for Transforming Access to Education

Patna: The national award recently conferred on Dr Divya Jyoti, Chief Executive Officer of Chanakya Foundation and a resident of Amhara in Bihta, is continuing to resonate strongly across Bihar’s education and social sectors. Honoured at the Pratibha Samman Ceremony–2026 in New Delhi, Dr Jyoti received the recognition for her sustained contribution to education and social empowerment.

The award was presented by renowned educationist and social worker Uma Tuli and Major General (Retd) Yashpal Singh Mor under the aegis of the Bharat Pratibha Samman Parishad. Even days after the ceremony, educators, students, and social organisations are expressing pride in her achievement, describing it as a moment of inspiration for Bihar.

Congratulating Dr Divya Jyoti, Director of Chanakya Group of Institutions Dr Ashok Gagan said the honour reflects her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to inclusive education. Faculty members and education experts noted that her initiatives have created lasting opportunities for thousands of students from economically weaker backgrounds.
Under Dr Jyoti’s leadership, more than 30 technical education institutions are being operated by the Chanakya Foundation Group of Institutions and Dr Ashok Gagan College. These institutions focus on skill-based and employment-oriented education, ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent students from pursuing technical learning. At present, over 1,200 students are receiving free technical education through institutions run by the foundation.

In Bihar, where access to education for girls continues to face social and economic barriers, Dr Divya Jyoti has emerged as a strong advocate for change. Through scholarship programmes, mentorship initiatives, and awareness campaigns, she has encouraged families to prioritise the education and employability of their daughters.
The Bharat Pratibha Samman Parishad is a national platform that recognises excellence, leadership, and social innovation across various fields. Dr Divya Jyoti’s recognition not only celebrates her achievements but also highlights the growing impact of education models that focus on equity, skill development, and social transformation.
