MP Sambhavi Raises Voice for Bihar, Urges Expansion of Atal Labs in Samastipur

Samastipur MP Sambhavi raised a strong demand in Parliament for the establishment of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) in government schools across the district. Highlighting Bihar’s lag in innovation infrastructure, she urged the central government to ensure early ATL setup so students can access modern STEM tools and hands-on learning opportunities.

While Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) are being rapidly established across the country to support the vision of a developed and self-reliant India, districts like Samastipur continue to lag behind. Highlighting this gap, Samastipur’s Member of Parliament Sambhavi raised the issue in Parliament today with strong conviction.

MP Sambhavi pointed out that the absence of ATLs in government schools of Samastipur has deprived thousands of students of exposure to modern technology, innovation, and scientific learning. She urged the central government to ensure the early establishment of ATLs in all eligible schools of the district so that Bihar’s children receive the same opportunities as students in other parts of India.

Under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), selected schools receive a financial grant of ₹20 lakh —
• ₹10 lakh for establishing the lab
• ₹10 lakh for operational expenses

ATLs provide students with hands-on experience in 3D printing, robotics, electronics, sensors, and STEM-based experiments. These labs are designed to develop innovation, design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students from classes 6 to 12.

MP Sambhavi stated,“Our children deserve equal access to modern education and innovation. Schools in Samastipur are fully eligible for ATLs, and I strongly request the central government to take speedy action in this direction.”

According to AIM, 8,706 Atal Tinkering Labs have already been established across India. However, Bihar—especially Samastipur—still remains far behind in this national initiative.

MP Sambhavi’s timely intervention reflects her commitment to the brighter future of students not only in Samastipur but across Bihar. Her voice in Parliament gives new hope to thousands of young minds waiting for opportunities to innovate and grow.
